MONDAY BLUES...

Is there anything in the bible that helps fight away the Monday Blues...if anyone has any remedy to that please let me know. I've never felt so scared of facing the week's schedule before. Today was kinda bad! I don't know...maybe i'm getting a bit all emotional and a little bit of stress will just trigger a rush of emotions. But hopefully this week will turn out all right.

I have to say one thing though...i'm still counting my blessings which is a positive. I'll be fine coz He is always there to guide me and remember "The JOY of the Lord is my STRENGTH!" Amen to that!!

Have a great week.
God bless,
Cheryl

HOPE FOR TOMORROW

If we celebrate the years behind us, they become stepping stones of strength and joy for years ahead.
To those who are going through a rought time in life, may this quote be an encouragement to you. To see things from a positive perspective, not for the sake of feeling better about your situation, but because "the joy of the Lord is our strength" and it is through this valley moments that God is pruning us, making us stronger for the future.
To those who are living lives of contenment, may i challenge you to live life beyond the status quo, just because we are called to live a life of purpose. On saturday i learnt that it is not about being talented that get you to places. It is about believing in yourself, that you have the potential to live beyond yourself.
Be blessed,
Cheryl

MY GOD REIGNS

Love this quote:

God's glory and beauty come from within, and there He delights to dwell. His visits there are frequent, His conversation sweet, His comforts refreshing, His peace passing all understanding...
Last night was my first night to Encounter this year and it was amazing to see Oxygen (name of Young Adults minisrty) growing in quantity and quality. But what was even better was the encounter i had with God. It was top-notch amazing.
Coming into Encounter last night, i had to admit i was feeling a bit heavy on the inside and needed to really leave everything at the alter and surrender it all to Him, who knows my past, present and future. Arriving there an hour early, i was able to sit in for the setting up of the band. It was then that i was reminded of the times i would be setting up for praise and worship back in my own church in Singapore. Boy do i miss those sessions, where i would give my all in music and singing.
When praise and worship started, i was full-on into the whole gig. And i think its true what the bible says "Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8). Right from the start go, I could feel God just taking off that burden that was in me. That sense of heaviness transcended into a sense of peace and freedom.
Indeed, our God is an awesome God, who deserevs all praise. Like the song goes:
My God reigns, My God reigns
Forever and ever Your kingdom reigns
And i pray that over the way i lead my life, one that truely shows the love of God. I pray that over the tough situations i'm facing, that they will become testimonies so that others may be encouraged. I pray that over those i love too dearly, that they may live a life of purpose and a life that would impact others.
Be bless,
Cheryl

HIS GRACE, MY STRENGTH

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that CHrist's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corithians 12:9-10
Let's face it: To be human is to feel inadequate. Everywhere I look, I discover human inadequacy. I mean the fact is, we are weak - emotionally, spiritually, intellectually and mentally. And the truth is that we are incapable of glorifying God in and of ourselves. We are unable to do His work our own way in our own strength. Maybe this sense of inqdequacy we constantly feel forces us to then rely fully on God for power and strength.
I'm not saying that we sholuld congratulate ourselves just because we recognise our limitations. Instead, having that recognition, we should look to God to seek pathways of effectiveness, so to speak.
I just love the fact that God loves to use those who are deem insignificant in society to accomplish significance. All because of His Grace, which is sufficient for us...
Be bless,
Cheryl

ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance means that you can find the serenity within
To let go of the past with its mistakes and regrets
Move into the future with a new perspective
And appreciate the opportunity to take a second chance.

Acceptance means you’ll find security again
When difficult times come into your life
And comfort to relieve any pain.
You’ll find new dreams, fresh hopes, and forgiveness of the heart.

Acceptance does not mean that you will always be perfect
It simply means that you’ll always overcome imperfection.

Acceptance is the road to peace,
letting go of the worst holding on to the best
Finding the hope inside that continues throughout life.

Acceptance is the heart’s best defense
Love’s greatest asset
And the easiest way
To keep believingIn yourself and others.
