CONQUER TO CONFRONT

You cannot conquer what you can't confront.

Such a simple but yet profound statement. In life, there are many times, where I find myself facing situations where I think to myself: why do i have to go through this season in my life? I know it probably is a time when God is stretching me, testing my faith. But how i wish he chose someone else instead of me. I've got just too much on my plate right now, can't God see that? And sometimes it seems like there is no breakthrough in certain areas of my life, hence I find myself stuck in one spot, not moving closer to God. And I wonder why.

This might not come as a surprise to some of you, but it is always good to be reminded of life's simple lessons.

(1) Learn to CONFRONT what you want to CONQUER. For instance, (and i'm being really honest and transparent here) i know that there are some things that i'm afraid to confront, like loosing a loved one. And today, i am still afraid of having to make the decision to let the ones i love go, and move on with life. So, even though i'm still struggling to overcome what i fear most, I am slowly facing this fear, constantly reassuring myself that: no matter what happens, God is still in control and He will take care of the rest.

(2) Remember to "lock in". Lock in to God's vision. A pastor once heard God told him, "if you are willing to do the ridiculous for me, I will do the impossible." In other words, as long as your heart is willing, God will use you. Also lock in to God's word. In Jeremiah 29:11, God promises us of a plan to prosper us, to give us hope. So don't think that you will never get out of this tough situation. Always see the rainbow behind the clouds and smile.

(3) Lastly, 2 chronicles 16:9 reads "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him." Remember that as long as you are fully committed to Him, He will be on your side of the battle, cheering you one, giving you to strength you need to overcome your mountains.

I hope this has been a blessing to you as it has been a blessing to me. After this God-moment, I am rethinking about how i'm going to re-position my priorities in life. It's not going to be easy, but it will definitely be for the better. Because with God, all things are possible.

THE MIRACLE

How many miracle prayers is one person entitled to?

How hard does one person need to pray for that one miracle to take place?

I hope I didn't use up my last miracle prayer.

HOME SWEET HOME

Indeed, there is no place like home. Having been away from home for about 2yrs, I'm finally back for a good 2mths. In fact, I've been back for almost 2weeks now and I am really cherishing every moment I spent with my family.

So I think I've settled back into Singapore quite well. Or maybe I've just had to rush into settling down because I had to start work 2 days after I arrived. In any case, I'm just glad to be back home, having nice home-cook food every night and having great conversations with mum and dad.
