Mission Trip Experience (Part 6: Climb Every Mountain)
Hey everyone, sorry for the late update. So many things have been happening. Before i continue let me wish all of you a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. So back to my experience during my mission trip...
The next morning, all of us had to wake up at 3am to climb Mount Phur Shee Phar in order to catch a wonderful sunrise. Cold but fresh was the air as everyone got prepared for the climb. The mountain was very steep and slippery. The night skies didn't exactly helped all of us as we struggled climbing up the mountain. As we got higher the air got thinner. It was tougher as it was harded for us to catch our breaths. After almost 2hrs of climbing the mountain and hearing many people complainting, we all manage to reach the top of the mountain. It was a great feeling, not only to see a beautiful sight that was in front of us, but also the sense of great accomplishment was evident in many of us.
Looking back, the journey up the mountain was tough. However it wasn't as tough as what Jesus had to go through when He was climbing up the mountain where he was going to be crucified. With the burden on his back, slowly but painfully he manage to climb up the mountain. I guess sometimes we are too comfortably living our lives. Then when we are put in a situation where comfort is not within our reach, we start complaining, giving all sorts of excuses to try and justify our own actions. Climbing up that mountain made me remember how Jesus had to carry so much burden on his shoulders, even till this day without ever complaining.
Sometimes we have to learn not to complain so much. It is as simple as that. To end, here is a verse, a reminder I myself sould have:
Philippians 2:14
"Do everrything without complaining or arguing."
Remember if nobody seems to love you...well I love you and God loves you. God Bless.
